Field Day Game

A great field day game that's really cheap is a Sponge Relay.
Purchase: 4 buckets (2 large, 2 medium) &4 sponges (2 for game and 2 for extras if one tears).
I just got these at All A Dollar.
Prep: Fill large buckets with water & put a sponge in each bucket. Draw a fill line on each smaller bucket and place them 15-20 feet away. Divide the kids into 2 lines.
Game: Have then first child in each line dunk the sponge, and carry it across to the other bucket. Have them squeeze out the water and try to fill the bucket as much as they can. Have them run back and hand off to next person in line. The team that fills bucket to line first wins.

It's a cheap, easy, & fun game which also cools the kids off.
