The boards were 2 by 4's cut 7 inches long. The vinyl lettering was donated by a parent. The cost was $110 for 65 boards. The attached note will see "You're the STAR ingredient for a great school!" Teacher Appreciation Week/ Doors!!

"Cooking Up Appreciation"

Please hang

Friday after school May 2nd

It's easier to have the paper decorated before you bring it to hang. Hang on either front or back (teacher's choice). with masking tape. Here is a door example! Butcher paper to cover the entire door (available at the school office, there are many different colors) with something cute in the middle. You don't have to have the border. Please include Teacher's name & I think it is great to put each child's name in their class. This does not have to cost a lot of money, but have fun with it. If you can try to stick with theme, but if you can't think of anything feel free to come up with your own ideas.

Here's a few I thought of:

"Mr./Mrs._____ you whisked up a great year" Have a whisk (paper, real might get too expensive) with each child's name on the handle.

"Mr./Mrs.______ You really measure up to a great teacher!" Have large measuring glass (paper) have each child be a line on the glass.

"Mr./Mrs.________ You're as sweet as a spoonful of sugar" Spoons (paper or plastic) with kids names on them.

"Mr./Mrs.________ You're a cut above the rest" Knives (PAPER) kids names on them

Here's a few more examples of items you could use just think of a title... food pyramid, cookie jar, apron, spoons, recipe card, dishes, forks, hot pads, paper towels, popcorn, Hot dogs, (hot dog you were a great teacher, ingredient, etc. I couldn't pass up this picture it's not part of the theme but great for a male teacher!

It's says Mr.____ you're the "Master" of the 4th grade. 4 on flag.
